Thanks for recommendation, but I have been there and done the deed, namely, read them while ago. Nice usage of eastern mythology.
On the same wavelength - I can recommend You "Chronicles of Amber" by Roger Zelazny; or "Lord of Light", "Creatures of Light and Darkness". Try them! They also play around combination with mythology(Celtic, Hindu) and science.
